Xiaomi’s Redmi 4X Launch in Pakistan (Press Release)

Xiaomi brings Redmi 4X to Pakistan in partnership with Smartlink Technologies

With the launch of Redmi 4X, Xiaomi demonstrates its commitment to the market

The world’s leading technology company Xiaomi launched Redmi 4X in Pakistan through distribution partner SmartLink Technologies.

Xiaomi have disrupted the Pakistani smartphone market when it unveiled three smartphones, Mi Max, Redmi 4A and Redmi Note 4 in February. It also brought its amazing ecosystem products such as Mi Band 2 and Mi Power Banks ranging from 5,000 mAh to 20,000 mAh.

With a considerable fan growth in the country and with the help of Smartlink Technologies, Xiaomi was able to grab a strong foothold within the country. As promised, extending their partners ‘consumer comes first’ philosophy, Smartlink Technologies will fulfill the requirement of Mi Customer Care Centers within the leading cities of Pakistan.

Redmi 4X

Redmi 4X features a full metal body, is incredibly slim at just 8.65mm thick and weighs a mere 150g. Equipped with a 4100mAh battery, Redmi 4X has an impressive standby time of up to 18 days. It will be available with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, so users can multi-task more efficiently, while also having more space for apps and images. Redmi 4X will be available starting May 20thin black at 18,900PKR.

 

The smartphones will be available offline across the country and online at official mistore.pk and at authorized online sales agentsonline shops at Daraz.pk and Yayvo.com.

Every Redmi 4X will ship with MIUI 8 which builds in several technology breakthroughs such as being able to clone apps and manage multiple accounts on the same phone. This means that users can have two instances of a messaging app on the same phone that correspond to different accounts, removing the inconvenience of having to log in and out on the same app. With MIUI 8, users can also split their smartphones into two accounts. This means that a different password or fingerprint can allow users to access a different home screen entirely, with different apps and data that are completely independent. According to their needs, users can choose to merge certain data such as the address book and call history.

Marketing Director of Smartlink Technologies, Ahmed Butt says, “Majority of the Pakistani consumers prefer to purchase smartphones remaining in this price bracket and thus this bracket has always remained a key market for all brands. The device will also be available on SmartLink Technology’s online platform starting May 1st 2017.

Mum. Maa. Amma. Maata. Madre.

Different words in different languages for that one person whose love cannot be put to words: Mother. A mother is the only person in this world who will love you with all her heart and without any expectations. She is the only person who would want to see you achieve more than what she has.

In celebration and honor of mothers around the world, Nestle came up with the campaign #ProudToBeMyMum that focuses on healthy & positive habits that we pick from our moms which have enabled us to be who we are. This campaign also focuses on the children’s perspective on how their mothers are a source of inspiration for them.

People took to Twitter and Facebook to pour their heart about how their mother has inculcated healthy habits in them and to thank her for all her sacrifices.

Some put pen to paper to thank the superwoman in their life.

Some expressed their gratitude through music.

Others used the magic of their words to thank their mother for raising a creative storm like them.

While this adorable mother-daughter duo won our hearts with their singing.

It’s safe to say that a lot of who we are is because of our mothers. We have picked so many of their habits and may be someday our children would learn the same from us. This beautiful relationship between a child and a mother is so sacred that it gets hard to put it to words.

Through this hashtag, #ProudToBeMyMum , I’d like to thank my mother for making me who I am today. Here’s hoping that maybe someday I can be half as amazing as her so I can rejoice and say, “I am #ProudToBeMyMum .”

Sparkistan-unveiling the spark of our unsung heroes

Pakistan is a country with immense talent, we have heroes around us, we just need to look more carefully. These are ordinary people with extraordinary spark, all they need is to be given credit and appreciation that they deserve.

This is exactly why Atlas Battery took the initiative of ‘Sparkistan’ which aims to show the spark of our unsung heroes. To discover more about these heroes, the team behind Sparkistan travelled all over Pakistan to record their story. Atlas Battery aims to unveil the spark of 15 unsung heroes of our country to give them the recognition they deserve.

Every week, they reveal heroes who have the spark in them and have made Pakistan proud.

One of the heroes of ‘Sparkistan’ is Mr. Nazir Sabir. He is a mountaineer, adventurer, humanitarian, expedition organizer, former politician and an inspirational speaker from Hunza, Pakistan. On May 17, 2000, Nazeer Sabir stood on the summit of Everest becoming the first Pakistani to scale the roof of the world. He also started a trekking organizing company under his name, he is also a member of several mountaineering communities. Nazir Sabir is a hero for many reasons other than being an exceptional mountaineer. He is a devoted environmentalist who is involved in the conservation of 5000 years old world heritage of Juniper forests in Balochistan. He is also currently working on the conservation of wildlife across Northern Pakistan.

“Mountains were always very holy places for me, very spiritual places that I understood much later in life. But even as a child I used to think a lot about what would be beyond these mountains — a hidden world, a mysterious world that was hidden by those four walls around my village. But when I lost very close friends (including Scott Fisher), and my brother, all that made me have all the more respect for mountains. There can be so many potential dangers on a mountain for a human life — besides the calculated risks — but all that is just the innocence of nature.” -Nazir Sabir

Nazir Sabir’s spark to conquer the most challenging heights has made him the pride of Pakistan!

Sparkistan introduced two more heroes to us; Aneeqa Bano and Afzal Rasool, these two individuals are angels in disguise of humans. Education is the right of every child, including differently-abled children and these two are making it possible for every child in Skardu. After having a child of their own who is deaf, they decided to start a school for deaf and mute children on their own. The deaf children, along with their families are taught sign language, and some classes are for those who need speech therapy.

“We thank God whenever we see a pencil in their hands.”

What Aneeqa Bano and Afzal Rasool are doing for so many children, that too through self-finance, is not something that everybody can do. Not everyone has a heart like their’s.

The resolve and spark in them to help the differently-abled has led them all this way to a successful mission with their school project and this is what makes them heroes of Pakistan!

Nescafe Connects the World over Coffee

A market leader in the coffee industry, Nescafe is the world’s most trusted brand having maintained its legacy for over 70 years. 

To commemorate International Coffee Day, this year Nescafe’s audience from all over the world were invited to pass a mug of coffee, creating a chain of happiness that broke geographical boundaries.

The initiative picked up further momentum within Pakistan with the help of social media influencers as the digital community joined the campaign to share their love for the caffeinated beverage with tweets, posts, creative memes, GIFs, videos and more using the hashtag, #GoodMorningWorld followed by #Pakistan. Rubbing shoulders with over 20,000 people from across the globe were many celebrities such as, Ali Hamza and Ali Gul Pir who passed the mug forward in their own unique style.

Nadia Omer, Business Manager Coffee and Cereal Partners Worldwide, Nestlé Pakistan, said, “More and more Pakistanis are reaching for a cup of coffee in the morning and we want them to share how NESCAFÉ makes their mornings better. ‘Good Morning World’ is a campaign that is uniting coffee lovers across the world and we hope that Pakistani coffee drinkers will help us celebrate the unique way in which we enjoy our coffee.”

Members of the community filmed themselves with mugs of coffee, infusing their own personal style and passing the mug to the left. Each video was then shared on the brand’s social profiles along with the members own using the campaign’s official hashtag.

Michael Chrisment, Head of Global Integrated Marketing at NESCAFÉ, said: “Wherever you go in the world, you’ll find people starting the day with a great cup of coffee. ‘Good Morning World’ unites everyone around the globe in celebrating the simple act of drinking a cup of coffee but in a way that recognises what makes each of us unique. It’s a truly global initiative and one that we hope will show that we’re all more alike than we are different, if only we could find ways to connect with each other.”
